Lima, OH (WIMA) -- Ongoing talks about the City’s vicious dog ordinance continued last night during a Lima city council Safety Services Committee meeting.
City Law Director- Tony Geiger- will prepare a new draft of the vicious dog ordinance to clean up some of the language and decide which restrictions to change- modify- or keep.
Geiger said that the enforcement of vicious dogs will still be taken care of by the Lima Police Department.
The committee has stated that they do not want to have a complete ban on Pit Bulls.
It is expected to take a few weeks for Geiger to draft the new ordinance.
The draft will be then be brought back to the Safety Services Committee.
